Cult Nails Captivated sent for consideration. All other products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.
Today I’ve got a perfect Spring manicure tutorial for you. Rather than be all matchy-matchy, this is more coordinating colors. I chose Cult Nails Tempest (white creme) for my base color. Cult Nails Captivated (coral jelly with gold flakes) and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Cruising (gold metallic). Before you begin, file, shape and buff your nails. Push back your cuticles if you feel the need. Clean the oils off of your nails. Apply your base coat.
Step 1
Apply 2 coats of Cult Nails Tempest. Apply a fast drying top coat.
Step 2
Use Cult Nails Captivated for this step. With a dotting tool or paint brush, paint random dots on your nails for the leopard design. Use the brush to draw a straight line down the center of the nail. Use the brush to draw a fat french tip.
Step 3
Use OCC Cruising for this step. Draw little C shapes around the dots of Captivated to make leopard spots. Draw straight lines down either side of the stripe to flank the coral on the middle finger. Draw an L shape on the pinky. Clean up the edges with a brush dipped in nail polish remover. Finish with a fast dry top coat.
I had fun doing more of a random coordinating colors designs than an all matching leopard print. What do you think of these colors for Spring? Would you wear them?
